Woofers, Hounds And Mutts is a fun day out for all the family, its aim is to raise money for doggie related charities and to encourage responsible dog ownership within the Borough and the surrounding counties. Our next show will be held at Hylands Park, Essex on 26th September 2010. The WHAM 2009 Fun Dog Show raised a fantastic £1500 for Pets As Therapy and Tailends. A huge thankyou to everyone who attended and to everyone who helped make the show happen. It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Angela from Tailends after her long battle with cancer. She will be remembered fondly by so many for her compassion and love of the dogs in her care. For details on Hylands Park, please visit their website. |

Charities
About Tailends Tailends exists to take in elderly or terminally ill dogs (often - but not exclusively - greyhounds). Our dogs come from situations of abuse or neglect and are unlikely to be re-homed in the normal way. Mission Tailends provide immediate veterinary treatment, warmth, comfort, loving care, appropriate walks and good quality food. Sometimes we can successfully treat and considerably extend the life of the dog. Sometimes we can only ensure that they receive the best veterinary attention in their final days and are comfortable and loved for the first and only time in their miserable lives. If you would like more information about Tailends, please visit their website at http://www.tailends.co.uk/. |
